Ring spacer is made from a metal ring in a different type of material, with a welded handle (in a different form). The spacer function is to allow the passage of the fluid (or gas) in the line. The flanges are usually raised face (RF), flat face (FF) or ring joint (RTJ) type and are often defined by ASME standards.
